Born in Bulgaria, Nick Petkov showed interest in art since
his early years as a student. In his words, any time that an idea came he would
sketch it. But, it was not until 2002 when he took art to the next level
enrolling with Art
Instruction Schools, Minnesota where he learned the insights of being an Artist.
Nick finds inspiration everywhere,
but his love for Nature is what makes his eyes turn around in search of the
balance and interaction within the elements.
Constantly experimenting, he prefers
to work in variety of styles that give him the freedom to express his vision on
the canvas. Painting primarily in acrylic, Nick always tries to find the best
way to tell the story behind each of his works. “No restrictions, just a lot of
imagination” is his philosophy for creating art.
Nick lives in Davis, California and has participated in many local shows and
exhibits and received numerous awards for his art including:
